Collage and Art Journals

For my weavings, I try to source my material from second hand shops, collecting the unloved balls of yarn and transmuting them into something beautiful.

Collaged works involve taking images, papers, phrases or quotes, and glueing them to board, box or other surfaces to create a new image that tells a story. I use a variety of inks, water soluble waxes and iridescent paints to add depth and cohesion to the imagery. As you can tell I’m particularly fond of Butterflies, Bees, Crows (and Poes) and Merfolk.
